The Zutano avocado originated in Fallbrook, CA in the 1920’s. Zutano’s have a very large seed. We grow these avocados to help with pollination for our Hass avocados. The skin is thin, but you can peel the skin off, which adds convenience. There is some fiber in the flesh and near the stem. The flesh is mild and a bit watery. Zutano’s are available October through February.
