Our Farm
The Mountain
Twenty-two acres at 1,800 feet. The Temecula Valley spreads out below. At night you can see the valley lights from the campsite. In the morning the fog sits in the canyons and the grove rows are wet with it.
This is Wildomar, California — not the wine country tourists know, but the ridge above it. The elevation changes everything: the temperature swings, the soil, the way fruit develops slowly and holds flavor. You can taste the difference in a Hass pulled from this hillside versus one grown on flat valley floor. We know because we grow both.
The Farm
Shane has worked this land for years. He knows which rows drain slow after rain, which trees are ahead of the season, which varieties need another week. The avocado grove is the anchor — Hass through most of the year, then Fuerte and Bacon carry winter, GEM and Zutano round out the season. Citrus runs alongside: Navel, Blood orange, Cara Cara, Valencia, Meyer lemon, Eureka. The lavender grows along the south-facing slope where the afternoon heat is hardest. The bees work the same ground the avocados do.
How We Grow
No synthetic pesticides. No synthetic fertilizers. Soil health managed over years, not seasons. The avocados, citrus, lavender, herbs, honey, passion fruit, and dragon fruit all come from the same ground, grown the same way.
What grows here is what we sell. When something is in season, it is in the shop. When it is not, we say so.
The Hives
On-property hives. The bees work the same grove the avocados grow in. The honey carries that provenance — it shows up in the flavor in a way that matters if you pay attention. We harvest when the frames are ready, not on a commercial schedule.
Shane
Shane runs the growing operation. He knows his trees, his soil, and his harvest windows. The farm is also home to Zephyr Mountain Farm Animal Sanctuary, a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit run by Nicole. The animals live on this land. They are not a farm amenity — they are residents. Nicole will introduce you on the Sanctuary page.
